What is a terminal illness benefit?

If you are diagnosed with a terminal illness, you could have your full life insurance benefit paid to your beneficiaries before you pass away.

How does this benefit work?

To receive the benefit, two medical specialists will need to confirm the diagnosis and a claim will need to be submitted to your insurer. Your insurer will also need to agree with the diagnosis and may request you undero a Independent Medical Examination (IME). Once you have received your benefit, your policy will end.

Take note: If you have a life insurance policy that is combined with trauma or TPD insurance, the benefit paid out will reduce the cover amounts on the policies that are linked.
